Lightleap for PC – How to use free on Windows 10, Mac

Download the Lightleap app on your PC. The background is too blurry, the lighting is just all wrong, or maybe the scenery needs a retouch – something only an experienced editor can do, right?

What is the Lightleap PC app?

Sometimes when you are out on an adventure, you don’t want to stop what you are doing just to edit a photo. I use my iPhone frequently when I’m out in the world because sometimes my DSLR is just too much to haul around. When that’s the case, I’ll just snap a few photos here and there to capture the moment.

And, while the built-in camera on the iPhone is good, developer Lightricks has released a very powerful alternative to the iOS Camera app with Lightleap app. The app’s name derives from the “quick shot” mode which automatically aligned photos, fixed the lighting, and previewed filters before the picture was taken.

Lightleap for PC offers a large selection of effects, filters, fades, and other photo editing options. The free trial version features 19 filters, more than 60 come with the paid version. Selfie fans might be especially interested in the “Looks” tool. Unfortunately, though, this category contains only 20 filters.

Lightleap for Windows app is a comprehensive image editor that lets you edit your photos and finally get the results you’ve been looking for. If you’ve taken a picture and it didn’t quite come out the way you wanted, this app can help you change everything about it that you don’t like, until you get the results you want.

How to use the app

To start working on your photo, you’ll have to search for an image you want to edit. The folder selector lets you find exactly what you’re looking for in a matter of seconds. Once your photo is open, you’ll be taken straight to the editing menu in the app. To select your favorite, just tap it or use the share button to open Quickshot directly from your image viewer.

Batch editing further gives the app a speed advantage. Using this feature, users can edit multiple photos all at once, which is helpful for photos taken in the same location under the same lighting conditions.

Along with the AI editing, live previews, and batch mode, Lightleap for Windows app also includes a number of different presets. Lightricks says the included presets are ideal for portraits, nature, urban, and more, with each category adjusted specifically for those types of images.

The second feature on offer in Quickshot is HDR+. High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography mixes together shots of varying exposure to create the perfect image. Here, the HDR+ mode allows users to calibrate HDR on a per-environment basis. Not only do you see the image configure exposure in real-time, but the app also lets users re-adjust exposure with a simple tap. There’s an HDR capture mode in the standard Camera app, sure, but this one offers much more freedom.

Available Platforms

The app is available on both Android and Apple Stores. If you want you can also use the Lightleap app on an Android smartphone as well.
